One needs to understand that the charitable trusts are not there for the benefit of an individual. So, the individuals who are forming these charitable trusts should not have any motive for their personal or private benefit. The charitable trust can be formed or established by anyone. If someone feels like depositing or donating a part of their property or any kind of assets for charity, they can. We are one of the charitable trust in India, which is working on different causes.
Is it important to have a purpose when establishing a charitable trust?
Many people who want to start their charitable trust or want to make some charity, they have asked us this question that is it important for the charitable trusts to have a purpose for starting it. We would like to address this question for all. Yes, it is important for the charity foundations in India to have a reason or a purpose for starting the charity.
Remember, there is a difference in between the charity and a charitable trust. When someone wants to do a charity, he or she may not need any reason or purpose for doing it. As they might be doing it for some personal reasons or for their own happiness. But when establishing a charitable trust, you will have to put these things into mind. Because during the establishment of any charitable trust, one will need to consider all the factors which should be there for a charitable trust. It is mentioned in the Charitable Act 2006 also, that to be a respected charitable trust, make sure you mention the purpose of starting your charitable trust in your trust deed. Also, that purpose cannot be a personal purpose, as we mentioned above only, that charitable trusts are not for personal benefit. So, make sure that the purpose is for the benefit of the public.
Different purposes for starting the charitable trust.
There are many purposes for which one can start the charitable trust. Like:

Just like the volunteers in our charitable trust helps in raising the funds and making people aware of the different child rights. We try to educate people about child rights so that they can save their children from getting exploited.

To help to save the girl child, we are trying our best to reach such places, and provide free education to girls. We assure the parents of these girls that with the proper education, these girls will be able to get a better job and future.

Some top charities in India are also helping in the development of rural areas. We are not just doing the development in these areas by providing basic facilities. But we are also helping people by providing them the job opportunities at the same place. Many NGO’s are working for the rural area development in India, by visiting these remote locations and trying to talk to the people living there. We try to understand their problem. And with the help of government and different firms, we try to resolve these issues.
