Even after so many years of independence, we have not yet able to change the mind-set of people. There are many things like child labor, child abuse, exploitation of children and women, human trafficking, and many such other problems which still exists in India. One of the major problems is the lack of education in India. Yes, you read it right, education is still a problem in India because there are many people in India, who are not able to get the proper facilities for education.

Where one side we all say that education can change our system, and it is true also. Because most of the problems that are mentioned above can be dealt with and eliminated with the help of proper education. But getting a proper education is itself a problem here. Many NGO’s in India are working on the problem of child education. Our NGO, ‘Mera Sahyog’, is also working towards it. We are one of the Child Education NGO in Delhi NCR, who is trying to help the kids in getting proper educational facilities. The government is also trying to help to provide quality education to children, but because of some loopholes, alone the government cannot do much. NGO working for education in Delhi should take necessary steps in improving this drastic condition.

That is why the NGO in Delhi for child education has to step up so that they can make people aware of how important it is for every child to get educated. Education is not just a necessity, but it is the right of every child, which they must get. With the help of the different other NGO’s and the volunteers, we are trying to provide this right to every child.

Reasons why children in India are not getting the proper education

There are many reasons why children in India are not being able to get proper education. Our Child Education NGO in Delhi NCR has visited too many cities and rural areas also, to know that what is making people stop in sending their kids to get the education. Even when the law of the right to education is there, still people are denying to send their kids to school. Some of the kids are not able to get even primary education. Whereas some kids have to leave education in the middle only. Now let’s see some of the reasons behind it:

One of the major reasons which we found in rural areas is that instead of educating the child for better job opportunities and a better future, many parents are putting their child into child labor. They are making their kids work at a very small age only because of poverty. However, child labor is also a crime, but all this is still happening in many areas in India.

Another reason, why people are not able to send their kids to provide proper education is poverty. You can also blame overpopulation. As there are families which have around 5 or 6 kids, and they are not being able to send all their kids to school because of the poverty. Some of the parents send their kids to school to just get the primary education, and then they put them for work.

There are many homeless children who do not have access to education, and the reason is the same as they do not have money.

Even many orphanages are also dealing with this problem. As they have so many kids in the orphanage, but due to lack of charity and proper facilities they are not being able to help every child in getting the education.

In some places, the schools are there, and even people are willing to send their kids for education, but they do not have the basic facilities like a well-educated teacher, books, and other such things.

How to tackle these child education problem?

We as an NGO in Delhi for child education, have decided to help children in getting proper child education. Here are some of the steps which we have taken for child education.

We are trying to bring awareness among the parents by telling them about what education can do to their child and their future. We are trying to motivate them for sending their kids to school instead of sending them to factories for work. For this, we are also helping such parents by providing free and quality education to the children.

We are also trying to provide the basic facilities in the areas where the parents and children are willing to study. So, we are helping them by sending our volunteers which can teach these kids. Our volunteers will help kids not just in getting the right education, but also by making the children learn different skills.

With the help of different institutes, we are trying to train more and more teachers, who can visit the rural areas and can help in educating the child freely.

For homeless kids, we are starting the special classes during different hours and are funding their education with the help of charity and by raising funds through different events and activities.

NGO working for education in Delhi like The Mera Sahyog NGO have taken many steps and should take further more steps to eliminate this situation of illiteracy.
